Tell me about yourself. What’s your greatest weakness? What do you know about our company and why do you want to work for us? Why should we hire you? Tell me about a time you experienced conflict in a team. If you’ve ever wondered how to best answer these types of questions this session can help.
The presentation will include insight into what interviewers are looking for and what you can do to meet and/or exceed their expectations. Strategies for answering difficult and behavourial-based questions will be covered, as will tips on what you can do before, during, and after an interview to give yourself an edge over the competition.
Speaker Bio: Stacey Sayler
Stacey Sayler is an Employment Coordinator with the University of Alberta’s Engineering Employment Centre (EEC). Prior to joining the EEC in 2009, she spent fifteen-years combined in Human Resources and Management Consulting for two local firms, and one of the largest chartered accountancy and business advisory service firms in Canada. For ten of those years her focus included Recruitment, Executive Search, and Employment Coordination -- during which she conducted over 2,000 interviews.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta, and is passionate about helping students launch their engineering careers.
